Insurance for Europe's horticultural sector

The international alignment is part of the corporate policy of Gartenbau-Versicherung VVaG as a "niche insurer". International exchanges, integration in international associations, connections with companies with a similar orientation and willingness to cooperate are essential elements for successful corporate development, in particular for a heavily specialised insurer.

GV is Germany's leading property insurer in the horticultural sector. To compensate for the constant structural change, for some time business activities have been developed further in other European countries.

At present GV is active in France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and United Kingdom. The extension of business activities is of strategic importance for the company. For example, it contributes to the further diversification of the global portfolio and therefore to the spreading of risks and growth of premiums. GV was able to set the decisive milestone within its European business with its market entry in the Netherlands. With its takeover of a corresponding insurance stock in 2007 our company has acquired a foothold in the world's major horticultural country as well.
